BJ has been performing up and down the coasts from the sunshine to the tweed and beyond constantly building popularity for bringing music back to the way it should be, intermit, yet relaxed with a raw acoustic sound. He has a great ability to interact with the crowd. STOMP FX takes the cake for keeping things natural yet creating enough beats to get most people out on the dance floor having a great time by combining BJ's talent with extra vocals and percussion. STOMP FX gives you the options of making the occasion as large or as intermit as you wish. Playing all the favorites as well as new material from some of the latest musicians out there, the band tries to involve everyone with its refined repertoire. BJ & STOMP FX play from pubs and clubs to private fuctions and corperates.
Brett Gannon – Vocals/Rhythm Guitar
Brett “BJ” Gannon has playing guitar and singing since the age of 12 and has accumulated over a decade of vocal and musical accomplishments ranging from stage shows and musicals to the well known pub, club and rock circuits in Brisbane and Gold Coast areas. With an earthy natural tone to his voice, he brings to the New Natives a solid vocal that is expressive of his experience in Australia’s rock music scene.
Steve McCormack – Drums/Percussion
Steve “Macka” McCormack is the man when it comes to keeping the beat. Don’t get fooled by his boyish good looks ladies, he is one mean drummer. Macka has been playing the Brisbane rock scene with bands like “Relik” and “Full Boar” taking everything good from the bands and bringing it to the New Natives. It’s never a dull moment when Steve’s around. He is a Leo and likes long walks along the beach.
Paul Connellan – Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals
Paul “ Pauly “ Connellan has been playing guitar since his rebellion teenage years shone upon him. He has played with both covers and original bands over the years and is mostly a laid back type of guy that lets his fingers do most of the talking. Pauly brings to the New Natives a sharp edge to the music, where at times he can take a song from “ mild to wild “ without being too over the top as he believes that simplicity is the key to a great song. Sorry Ladies, he’s Taken.
JD – Bass Guitar/Backing Vocals
Joel "JD" has been ripping it up with his bass guitars for many moons and has brought a fresh new energy to New Natives. JD has a long list of credentials from rocking out at copious locations in QLD, NT and NSW all the way internationally for a 9mth stint in Bangkok at the Shangri-la Hotel. Joel's addition to the New Natives brings new life and fun times. He is a Virgo and likes to drink Jim Beam
