Mainline are a Sydney based ‘Blues Rock’ band that are heavily influenced by some of the worlds top Blues artists known to date. The band emerged from jamming at lounge room parties in the Sydney’s Greater West to having played at some of Australia’s most prestigious Blues Festivals.

Since the bands conception in 2001 much time had been spent in honing & crafting a style of music that has delighted a wide audience in & around Pub & Club venues. The band had worked hard over the 1st few years on their own original songs, on the bands presentation, appearance and overall performance whilst at the same time, working up an enormous set list of cover songs from popular musicians & bands such as Eric Clapton, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, George Thorogood, Chuck Berry, Garry Moore, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix just to name a few. In 2004 the band took the show to the freeways & highways of NSW & in that first year completed 50 gigs. In 2005 the band completed in excess of 75 gigs. Since 2004 Mainline has been very busy playing gigs from as far north as the border of QLD right down south to the border of Victoria & predominantly concentrating gigs in the vicinity of Newcastle & the Central Coast of NSW. 2005 saw Mainline recording their 1st CD/Album ‘Through The Motions’ at Jeff Cripps -A# Sharp Studioslocated in Riverwood, Sydney’s Outer Western Suburbs where The Vines, Foreday Riders, Mississippi Shakedown, Ray Beadle, Anni Piper & other noteworthy musicians had recorded some of their CD/Albums. This was backed up with a promo road trip that would extend into 2007. It was an absolute honour for the Band to have played at the 2007 Australian Blues Music Festival in Goulburn & to have signed the ‘Wall of Fame’ next to the likes of Bondi Cigars, Mal Eastick, Kevin Borich, Chain, Jeff Lang, Dutch Tilders, Backsliders & Foreday Riders. At the 6th Newcastle Blues Festival in 2008, Mainlines CD  ‘Through The Motions’ was nominated for 3 awards - 1/ Peoples Choice 2/ Best Album 3/ Best New Talent. The band were very proud to have walked away with the ‘Peoples Choice’ award that was based on radio & venue survey results from the public. With an array of music being offered to their captive audience ranging from blues-rock, funk, rock ‘n roll to country rock, always expect the crowd to get up out of their chairs & start dancing, applauding & yelling out for more. Over the past years, Mainline have worked closely with Venue Management & associated staff members & have developed & established a good sound relationship with them. The Band has always been proactive & cooperative when resolving on & off stage issues e.g. reducing sound levels for residents, providing ambient style music where applicable, etc. The band is totally committed in ensuring a good show every time they play. ‘Proof Is In The Pudding’ as they say & Mainline have proven that they obviously have the ability to put on a good show. Just check out the list of venues where they have played & the number of performances at some of the same venues. This is testament itself as to how good this band really is.

A Special Thanks to past members of the band Joyce, Greg, Brad, Bruce and Guy for helping to put Mainline on the road map.  Your years of service have been the catalyst, the cornerstone, the spinal chord, and the grass roots of the bands success……..thankyou.  We wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for you J ……….also a big thankyou to all our families & friends and to all our fans for your magnificent support.
