MooMooPappa are a Rock/Blues band in the style of Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix & Rory Gallagher. Influenced by everyone from Freddie, Albert and BB King. To guitarists like Matt Schofield Joe Bonamassa & Eddie Van Halen!

Featuring Andy O’Connor (Guitar & Vocals), Darren Porter (Bass) & Ben Van Hassel (Drums). In Addition to the trio MooMooPappa also perform with Jamie Mack (Harmonica) and Peter Slater (guitar). 

Having just finished recording their first studio album they are fast gaining a following through Brisbane as the ‘new Rock/ Blues’ party band to see. Coming from both sides of the world MooMooPappa has a lifetime of music experience. Andy has been gigging in bands for 15 years playing guitar up and down the UK before moving to Australia. Darren has been a highly respected bass player in Sydney before moving to the Gold Coast and Ben has been touring and playing drums with major touring bands through Australia for 20 years. Jamie Mack has toured the UK with various high profile bands before moving to Australia and touring with big name bands like the Quireboys. Peter came to music later in life after a professional AFL career and has quickly gained a reputation as a no-nonsense rock solid rhythm guitarist.

We also understand the importance of playing for the venue/environment with the view of engaging the audience so that the nexus between the venue & entertainment is seamless & transparent. Appropriate volume to the 'moment' is a key issue to establish an enjoyable environment; we appreciate the issues and work diligently with venue management to produce an enjoyable & positive product. We will play melodious, controlled background music if people are eating and chatting and can rock it up as the venue and customers demand.
