'TIS.... We be a Sunshine Coast, Queensland based Irish Band who have been keepin' the coast, and ourselves, jiggin' & reelin' for years. We try not to take ourselves too seriously but are totally commiteed to doing waht we can in making your event a very special occasion. We do live Irish music from the traditionals to the current day stuff with no “drum machines”, “sequencers” or artificial colours and flavourings....just raw and real....and sometimes very messy!
These days, ‘TIS…. can be anywhere from three up to 5 band members depending on who is able to get out of bed in time! Our philosophy is "if its not about the Craic - then what the hell are we doin' here?!?"
‘TIS….   is
  • Katy Drake on vocals, whistle, banjo, guitar, percussion and worse-case scenarios  
  • John Drake on mandolin, fiddle and chip crunching 
  • Phil Fowke on bodhran, percussion, yelling solos and covert verbal ingenuity
  • Darrell Watson on vocals, guitars ( 6 & 12 string ) harmonica and whiskey drinkin'
  • Derek Foster on vocals, bass and masterful manipulation of bass riffs!

Our aim is to make sure our audiences have a great time with plenty of singalongs, fun, dancing and laughs. We are kept busy playing at The Irish Club in Brisbane, at birthdays, weddings, corporate functions and wherever there is fun to be had.
