Winners of Trad & Now Magazine's (Australia's No. 1 traditional and contemporary folk, blues, roots, alternative and world music magazine) 2006 award for best CD in the World/Celtic Music genre for their CD "Between Two Shores", Pam and Norm Merrigan are the heartbeat of the dynamic 2-5 piece band Coolfinn Mac.
 
This mainly acoustic, multi-instrumental group delivers trad style music with a contemporary edge, combining the magic of music from the Celtic nations with Australian and original material, creatively blending instruments and styles. Coolfinn Mac will take you on a musical journey with their exciting fusion of past and present, songs and tunes, both old and new.  We play for weddings, parties, private functions for groups and clubs, and fundraisers for a variety of events. You provide the venue and the crowd and, with our extensive repertoire of pub favorites, sing-a-longs, toe-tapping tunes, and songs old & new we'll keep you well entertained. In fact, any excuse for a "hooley" and we'll be there!
 
We offer
  • Professional and reliable music and entertainment to add an authentic Irish, Celtic or Australian atmosphere to any event. 
  • Experienced musicians with varying instrumentation.
  • 2-5 piece band depending on your requirements, venue and budget and, if you have an event in mind but are not sure how to make it happen we can offer advice, expertise and the personnel to see it through from start to finish. 
  • Extensive repertoire of Irish and Australian material & music from the Celtic nations including ballads, sing-a-longs, Irish pub songs and lively jigs and reels. 
  • Ceili & Bush Dance specialists to the toe-tapping rhythms of reels, jigs and polkas. All dances are taught and called on the night with no previous experience necessary. 
  • Experience in providing entertainment and bush dances for school groups with a number of exciting programs especially developed for young people.
