The Tinkers are the best exponents of traditional Irish Music in the Sydney/Wollongong area.  Rebel songs, reels, jigs, ballads, hornpipes, polkas. Experienced at playing the big stages at festivals, art galleries, clubs (recently supporting Andy Irvine) and performing house concerts and intimate acoustic shows. Website here.

Evelyn Finnerty (Blarney, Co. Cork Ireland): vocals and fiddle

Alan Healy (Dublin, Ireland): vocals, tenor banjo, bouzouki, bodhran

Christine Wheeler: vocals and whistle

Seamus Moginie: vocals, bouzouki, guitar, ukelele, and accordian

Bird: bodhran

The shows are always fun and the tunes highly danceable, but we do beautiful airs and ballads as required. There is video of our big band (Shameless Seamus and The Tullamore Dews) with all the key members of The Tinkers: Evelyn, Seamus, Alan and Bird.

We can expand or contract according to your budget and needs. We have played many gigs recently including the MONA Museum in Hobart, The Basement Sydney, Illawarra Festival, Gaelic Club upstairs Sydney, Marrickville Cultural Festival, Petersham Bowling Club, Nolan on Lovel Gallery Katoomba, Joadja Winery Berrima, Kelly’s Newtown, Penrith Panthers, Chado Hobart, The Irish Society Ceilidh Wollongong, The Lark Distillery Hobart.
