Prime Numbers is a cover band with a difference. We play songs you know and love. But they're not all the obvious choices you've heard before at other venues and functions. We want our audiences to think 'What a great song, I haven't heard that one for a while' as opposed to 'Not this one again!' You'll hear tight, original and energetic versions of songs by anyone from Jet to the Beatles, Missy Higgins to the Stones, U2 to The Who and many more. There are six of us in the band - male vocals, female vocals, two lead/rhythm guitarists, bass and drums. We are all experienced musicians and lively performers. Our lead singer has written and recorded with the likes of Neil and Tim Finn and the Dixie Chicks. We always encourage as much audience participation as possible. In fact, a highlight of our performances is when we ask volunteers to join us on stage to sing Mustang Sally! We are also very happy to take requests in advance or on the night to add fun and spontaneity. As professionals in other fields, we don't rely on our income from Prime Numbers so you'll be pleasantly surprised by our rates. Our fees start from only $500 and we're always happy to negotiate. If you prefer, you can pay us what you think we're worth after the event! To listen to our demo and see photos of recent functions, please click on the media tab on this page.
