Rigby is an incredibly talented Top 40 dance band that can also offer a specialized Beatles revival show.

Halifax, OTH, Canada

“What’s not to love about Rigby? They are playing the tunes we all love.” ~ Liberty DeVitto (Drummer: Billy Joel, Elton John, Meat Loaf)

“Your groove is deep! The band made me go back many years and remember my first love for music! Truly an amazing amount of dedication you all have put into this project!” ~ Dom Famularo (International Drum Clinician and Motivational Speaker)

The Beatles Revival Show: Not content to be a traditional tribute act, Rigby has complemented the legendary Beatles’ sound with some unique flavor. The addition of a violinist, coupled with the Motown-inspired lead vocals of Jill Schettler and the Led Zeppelin fervor of drummer Sean Mitchell, asserts Rigby’s presentation of the mop-top’s catalog is like no other. Careful to keep the integrity of the music intact, Schettler and Mitchell have created an act that stays true to the musical voice of the Fab Four, while giving it an updated feel; much like Sir Paul McCartney himself does on tour. Rigby focuses painstakingly on flawless vocal harmonies, impeccable musicianship, and is a big advocate of audience participation in their show. As an added feature, the show also includes an “unplugged” set, in which audience members are encouraged to sing along with the band. Rigby is an act that is well-suited for all ages and prides itself on creating an authentically entertaining experience for those who love The Beatles.

Top 40 Dance Band: Rigby is a new breed of cover band, as they also an exciting Top 40 show aside from or in addition to the Beatles show. Dance the night away to a mix of classic rock, disco, dance, pop, oldies and country. Rigby performs a wide variety of cover tunes from Kylie Minogue, Enrique Iglesias, AC/DC, Guns & Roses, The B 52's, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Boney M, Gloria Gaynor, ABBA, Dixie Chicks, Gwen Stefani and much much more.

Rigby is the brainchild of Sean Mitchell and Jill Schettler who wanted to create a cover band that could cater to multiple markets in order to offer a client and an agency more choices from one act. In doing so, the musical duo created a Top 40 cover band that not only plays a full night of the best dance music from yesterday and today, but can offer a fully separate specialty show in their presentation of The Beatles music.

Sean Mitchell: Sean has fifteen years professional experience behind the drumkit. He has studied under such industry greats as Zoro (Lenny Kravitz), Mitch Dorge (Crash Test Dummies), Chris Sutherland (Kim Mitchell), Dom Famularo (international clinician), and Canadian African drum master Sean Jessau. He has shared the stage with the likes of Shania Twain, Wynonna Judd, Jerry Lee Lewis, The New Guess Who, Blue Rodeo, and Marty Stuart to name a few. Sean is also the creator and publisher of The Black Page magazine, a one-of-a-kind online drum magazine read by over 4000 drummers in 16 countries.

Jill Schettler: Jill is a self-taught songstress and graduate from Brandon University’s School of Music, earning a B.A. in music and creative writing. She has also studied with Philadelphia-based vocal coach Owen Brown, who is known for his work with Mary J. Blige, Celine Dion, and Wyclef Jean. Jill has performed professionally for six years, and sites having opened for Nazareth, Streetheart, and Rik Emmett as career highlights. Jill was also among the many hopefuls that tried out for the popular Canadian reality show Canadian Idol. While Jill realized that perhaps the show was not the direction she wanted to pursue, Sass Jordan paid her the ultimate compliment by giving Jill a standing ovation and saying that Miss Schettler had a voice, “as good as Christina Aguilera.”
