Tempe, Sydney, NSW, Australia

The Locals are a powerful acoustic/electric trio who have built a reputation on the Sydney live pub scene for delivering an energetic, balls to the wall live show with screaming female rock vocals a la Janis Joplin, blistering three part harmonies and screaming Les Paul guitar solo's. This reputation has been built on covers of all of the GREAT Rock and Roll standards including the

  • Rolling Stones,
  • Santana,
  • The Beatles,
  • Bob Dylan,
  • Gary Moore,
  • Joe Cocker
  • Eric Clapton
  • just to name a few.

They can ensure that any gig, party or event is a huge success by pumping out the songs that your guests have loved all of their lives, brought back in original mint rock condition by this experienced and talented trio. Tracks like White Rabbit and Born to be Wild sounding just as good now as they did way back then.

Currently in huge demand, The Locals spent all of 2007 blasting their way through pubs, parties, weddings and corporate events. They are equally at home in any beer garden or black tie corporate function and their highly adaptable show can be ‘beefed up’ or ‘cut down’ to suit any requirement. All three are experienced entertainment professionals and can suggest the best format, staging and production for your next Rock and Roll event. Even request your favourite songs in advance and they will be performed for you on the night....

Prue Rueben (Vocals) Began singing in the early 1980’s in bands such as Fiction Romance and Desert Boot before joining Lunar Sea Boatmen in the mid 1990’s. From there she went on to join the Forsberg Foundation who continue to play around Sydney to this day.

Jamie Forsberg (Vocals, Guitars) First moved to Sydney in the 1980’s with the power-pop band, The Spliffs.
