RADIO SUNSET

RADIO SUNSET are a unique “power duo” consisting of soulful guitar and vocals provided by Kerry Leigh and driving drums played by Garry Browning.This unusual  combination has proven to be the success of their dynamic sound.

RADIO SUNSET was created by Kerry and Garry as a tribute to the fantastic songs they heard as kids and now they  bring it to you with their own distinct style.From “Elvis” to “Van Halen”  and everything in between, this duo does it all.

Musicians:

Kerry Leigh.   Whether  appearing on television in front of millions of people or performing a blistering solo at the Entertainment Centre Kerry has done it all along with the help of his trusty friend a “56 Fender strat”. Together these two have carved  their way into the history of the Australian  Music scene.

Garry Browning. From Beatles shows to punk bands,poetry readings and TV commerials Garry has been there playing his drums the only way he knows how ...full steam ahead.With the aid of the new Roland V DRUMS   he has never sounded better and lives to play live with this rich exciting sound

Radio Sunset is available for many different types of events. Their wide and varied repertoire allow them to perform at club  dates , private functions , corporate events , dance & theme nights as well as product launches and specialised nightclubs. Both Kerry and Garry have performed with well known original AND covers bands and were once signed to Sony Records. Radio Sunset is also available as a trio with live Drums , Electric Guitar and Keyboards. 

OVERVIEW:

Kerry and Garry have been performing in clubs, hotels and function venues around Sydney for the past 15 years. They have proved themselves to be one of the cities most professional acts providing quality music for all audiences with their own style of pop, rock and middle of the road covers. They have worked with an array of local and international artists as well as many TV appearances (Good Morning Australia, Rage Countdown, MTV etc). It is an art to be able to play the right songs, at the right volume and at the right time. This is an art that Radio Sunset practice with a skill that eludes many of their peers. Also supported  The Sweet in  Launceston Tasmania  in  front of a 20,000 strong crowd. Their  hits  included  “love is like oxygen” ,” rubber bullets” ,” foxy on the run”

the 90's

Supports  for  John Paul Young  in  Balmain  RSL  played   to  4 thousand people

Ostentatious support.   He is best known for the comedy single "Australiana"  dural country club.

Over 5 thousand gigs played over the years.

Managed  Air-Raid  Recording Studios throughout 1990’s.    In 1996 Kerry recorded some tunes with Jackson Browne  USA and his son Ryan

1997  recorded album with TOM T Hall and band  USA.
