Julianne Bushby, Jane Urbanik and Gonzalo Perez de la Ossa are a trio formed in the South East Coast in 2008. Their music incorporates a wide variety of styles including rock, country, folk and jazz, a versatility that makes MAWU ideal for many different venues and events. Each with a wealth of experience of musical performance and song writing, Julianne, Jane and Gonzalo bring to MAWU its own unique sound.
Julianne Bushby – Lead and backing vocals, rhythm guitar and percussion. Julianne’s voice has a powerful range in tone and timber allowing great contrast and emotion to be expressed in her singing. Julianne has recently released her own CD ‘Real Honesty’ featuring her own original material. She has performed solo for many years as well as in many bands including ‘Hit the Deck’ and ‘Vital Bits’ supporting acts such as Mental as Anything and The Divinals. In her solo act she has performed at the Suncorp Stadium and Cobargo Folk Festival and won senior female singer at Cootamundra Country Music Festival.

Her sensitive singing style and delicate and at times raunchy guitar playing have found in MAWU the perfect environment to express themselves.
