Asli, Carrie Lakin and Anthea White have formed Sydney’s hottest new vocal group, The Collective. With a universal mix of soul, funk, pop, rock, roots and originals, this adaptive group can rock you with their 7 piece line up or leave you feeling light and easy with their acoustic 4/5 piece band (3 vocals with keys/guitar).
Although this group is newly formed, the girls have already been performing successfully around Australia and internationally (New Zealand, London, Portugal, Japan, Indonesia and the USA) with their own bands. In a combined effort these outstanding singers have performed with, and supported, the following artists; Alex Lloyd, Marcia Hines, Guy Sebastian, Ross Wilson, Delta Goodrem, Jackie Orszaczky, Jade MacRae, Joy Yates, Dave MacRae, Paulini, The Sleepy Jackson, Renee Geyer, Young Divas, and many more.
They have also performed at the following festivals and events; Sydney’s Funk and Soul Festival, Manly International Jazz Festival, The Carols in the Domain (2002-2006), Tauranga Festival (New Zealnd) and The Java Jazz Festival (Indonesia). They are also regular performers at many of Sydney’s renowned venues such as Acer Arena, The Basement, The Opera Bar, The Golden Sheaf Hotel, The Opera House, The Marble Bar and The Tilbury Hotel amongst many others.
Television appearances have also featured in careers of The Collective girls with performances on the following programs: Rove Live, Kerri-Anne’s Morning Show, Sunrise, and The Footy Show. They have also delighted many different audiences and clients with their performances at numerous corporate events, private functions and parties throughout Sydney and surrounding areas.
