CLARENCE JAZZMEN
Toe tapping jazz featuring double bass, trumpet, piano, drums & vocals.
Formerly known as The Graftonians, The Clarence Jazzmen play happy understandable jazz, without being moldy figge, or at all esoteric. They have played in Sydney, the Gold Coast, the Holiday Coast and Central New South Wales. Between them the individual members have clocked up many years of national and international experience, so this is not your average bush or country band. Their aim is to promote happiness with toe-tapping music in the jazz idiom. From their humble beginnings at a jazz festival they have proved their adaptability by successfully handling weddings and debutante balls as well as their primary function at jazz venues and festivals throughout the nation.
The nucleus of Maurie, Harry, Warren and Boots can call on the best musicians to increase their combination to any size required, right up to 20 piece, but due to economics usually works as a quintet.
