With years of professional experience both here and overseas, the Hot licks Trio are seasoned entertainers who give you that special party atmosphere that only live music can bring. Fully mobile, the Trio can perform at the highest standard upstairs, downstairs, indoors and out. As an acoustic group, Hot Licks is never too loud, just hot! SOPHIA MACRAE Clarinet, saxophone and vocals Raised on a winery in NSW with jazz-loving parents, Sophia completed a classical music degree in Adelaide followed by study in the USA.

Having worked previously in the SA Police Band, as a teacher and as a freelance theatre and jazz musician, Sophia has recently been a guest artist at jazz festivals in Australia and New Zealand, and is now a regular in the Melbourne music scene.

GLENN JACOBI - tuba, vocals Having begun his musical career busking in Adelaide at age 14, he worked as a professional jazz player while studying classical trombone. VMile performing on tuba with Sophia in Adelaide, he worked variously as a teacher and conductor. Glenn has toured around the country playing with jazz, rock and contemporary ensembles, and is now based in Melbourne.

WILL PURCELL - banjo, guitar, vocals A jazz man since the early eighties, Will has performed with bands such as The Des Camrn Jazz Band, Maple Leaf Band, Cairo Club Orchestra and New Melbourne Jazz Band, as well as appearing regularly on Bert Newton's Good Morning Australia. Will has recorded on numerous CD's and has toured extensively through the US, Canada and Asia.
