The JOHN MONTESANTE QUINTET (previously called 'Workin & Steamin') pays tribute to the Be-Bop era and offers timeless Jazz Standards. The regular line-up comprises John Montesante (Trumpet-Flugel), James Clark (Double Bass) Joe Ruberto (Piano) Mark Voogd (Drums) Jim Glasson (Alto Sax), and features a variety of outstanding Jazz Vocalists or Instrumentalists, including Nichaud Fitzgibbon, Yvette Johansson, Rebecca Mendoza, Fem Belling, Bob Valentine, Julie O'Hara, Garth Ploog, Gil Askey, Wilbur Wilde, Joe Chindamo & others. If you would like an Instrumental Gig for background mood,( 5 members), or an outstanding Singer up front (numbering 5 + 1), or a Celebrity Performer within the line-up, the JMQ can accomodate your requirements. The JMQ usually performs up to 3 x 40 min sets, but is sometimes engaged for 1 or 2 sets prior to Private, Corporate or Major Events.

It has also been well reviewed in Australia's Jazz Scene magazine. The JMQ intends to record another album in 2011.
