THE EVERGREEN QUARTET

The Evergreen Quartet create an air of sophistication at any occasion or event, comprising of a collective of dedicated jazz musicians hailing from the prestegious Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne. Their smooth sound, featuring delicately wrought vocals and a finely tuned rhythm section make their music both charming and immediately engaging. Having performed at Melbourne’s premiere jazz and lounge venues (Paris Cat, Bennett’s Lane, Manchester Lane, Blue Diamond, Scarlet Bar) as well as in corporate settings and hotels (Le Meridian, Rialto Towers, Langham Hotel), The Evergreen Quartet execute the sounds of the golden jazz era with elegance and style. Their sound is marked by the greatest of influences; suggestions of Ella Fitzgerald, Lena Horne, Carmen McRae and Dave Brubeck all finding their way into the group’s collective sound. The Evergreen Quartet also perform as a drumless trio (The Evergreen Trio – vocals, bass, piano) and also as a vocal and piano duo.
