Steve Redden, Lead singer of Junes Room began his vocal career in 2003 after he noticed a band that caught his attention, drew out his musical interest and ultimately joined this band. Steve took up singing and quickly gained confidence in his vocal ability and realised that he had a gifted vocal range.
Steve’s first band, Junes Room, who he is with since 2004. Over his years of professional vocal training his experience has grown and branched out into individuality, which has ultimately become one major aspect of Junes Room.
During an earlier interview with Steve, he spoke of many things, firstly his mentors, the people who gave him influence. Steve said "My parents have taken all into account whether it is good or bad, they have always been there, no matter what. Beyond this musical inspiration has been gained from artists such as Ben Harper, Steve Wonder, Bob Marley, Jimmy Hendrix, Faith No More, Living Color and Mike Patton.
Steve would like his musical future to be filled with strong followers. He not only wants the world to hear the groups music, but for them to come on the Junes Room journey. Beyond Steve’s vocal profession, he plays acoustic guitar. Steve, in the future would like to master production and work with a large array of musicians from many different skills and styles.
I asked Steve his personal opinion to what makes an exceptional musician. Steve stated "An artist that has passion, drive and focus, an artist that can tell a story on an artistic level, also the universal ability to adopt music as a way of life."
Steve stated "I have the professional need to share with my listeners the genuine, positive qualities of who I am as a musician. To place a strong influence on the World before my time is done. If I can do this through my music, that is all I ask for and dream of. I would be happy to know that my musical talents have impacted my fans long after the music has stopped for me. To gain immortality through my music and place my own musical artwork in World time."
