Rhythm and Steel Workshops are a fun way to develope team building, raise self esteem and improve co-ordination.The workshops will have participants wrapped in the atmosphere of the Caribbean, giving them a sweet chunk of the magic of calypso music , percussion and the steel drums. All equipment is provided including tenor pans, double second pans, guitar pans, bass pans, cello pans(thats just the steel drums!) and percussion instruments such as congas, sticks, shakers, bilbaos, triangles, marackas, timbal, cow bells, shells etc. It is common for the participants to come together after 2 hours (min) to do a "gala performance" for family and friends. Rhtyme and Steel Workshops have been very successful at festivals as it can engage the whole family and of course school children just love the flexibility of a steel band. The Winton Outback Festival 2009 incorporated a 3 day workshop and a gala performance during the grand parade to great acclaim. 2009 school workshops have been held at Augathella Primary School, St Margarets (Brisbane),John Paul College Daisy Hill, St Lucia University and Union Institute of Languages (Sprinfield) .
