LONG GONE DADDYS ROCK BAND

The Long Gone Daddys started as a "Fun Jam Session" with a Drummer / Vocalist and 2 Guitarists and has evolved into a full Rock band with 4 band members ! The Band plays hit covers from artists such as ACDC, Gary Moore, The Angels, Billy Idol, Bad Company, Sunny Boys, The Beatles, Daddy Cool, OL 55, The Stray Cats, ZZ Top, Joe Cocker The Rolling Stones and Many More! Songs that will make you want to get up and Dance !

We are a good old fashioned ROCK cover band. We play great music and always try to get our audience involed, Dancing or Singing or both ! Perfectly suited to Pubs, RSL, Partys, We've evenplayed a Rock wedding, they had the night of their lives !

We Regularly play at AD Ryans in Diamond Creek, we have also played at Warrandyte and Eltham RSLs, Birthdays, Engagements, New Year and Christmas functions and even Weddings

Franco started Playing percussion at the age of 8. Franco started out as the original drummer for a popular Melbourne band called “DeJaVu” in the mid eighties . In 1987 he played in a support band for “Pseudo Echo” and then in 1992 traveled Australia and played with Doc Holiday at the “Millicent Country Music Festival”. After winning a couple of large Karaoke competitions- Darwin and Alice Springs 2003 singing Matchbox Twenty songs. He joined “Hallow Log” a percussion ensemble. After further traveling in 2003 he created a solo show “Drum Box 20” playing Matchbox 20 covers. And then in 2004 played in “Rockin’Round” as lead singer and drummer. He played at the “Childers Multi-Cultural Festival for an estimated 55,000 people over a three day period. Franco was listed in the top ten drummers/live performers in Queensland in reviews after the Childers performances. After a bit of a break, Franco joined ‘The Long Gone Daddys.

Angelo has been playing the guitar from the age of 12. As a teenager he played in a few kid bands and taught the guitar for pocket money. Had a bit of a spell from playing as a young adult and then got inspired again and bought himself an American Stratocaster as a birthday present for his 30^th birthday. Angelo’s musical influences came from his young days when he would listen to Tony Mattola. Admiring his ability to play guitar using various styles including Classical, Spanish, Jazz and Fusion Rock. And now, those Shadows instrumentals that his father would play on his turntable and he would make him listen to when he was very young have embedded themselves in his music appreciation. “I think Hank Marvin of the shadows has an ability to tell a story with his guitar. A unique ability.”
