Syko, at the age of 20 years old was voted the “Rapper of the Year” award by Star Central, one of Australia’s leading music/modelling agency. Syko was known for writing music early in his life at the age of 13 which seen him slowly move into the Hip-Hop scene. At the age of 16 releasing a throw together mix tape called ‘The New Era’, the mix tape was downloaded by 1,000 people before being removed by the rapper due to the refinement of his music and art. In the year 2007,

Syko released a song dedicated to his late friend ‘Lee Newton’ entitled ‘Live in the Sky’ which impacted all local radio stations in Sydney & Melbourne. It was from then the young artist never looked back. Embarking on the release of a new mix tape titled Version II – which represented a new version of the upcoming musician. Without any heavy promotion Syko released the mixtape with guest features from Sony Recording Artist Miracle (Stunna Shades) Glenn Sousa (Tru Love) Lil’ B (U & Me) & Upcoming American urban heavyweight J Lye (Stunna Shades/Haterade/Thriller). The mix tape reached over 10,000 downloads on the internet before the mix tape was taken offline.

Shortly after the release Syko was approached by a signed hip-hop artist Str8up-T. Beginning on a nation-wide tour selling out shows to an average of 2000 people a night. After rounding up the tour Syko returned to Sydney to focus on his first studio album titled My Own Worst Enemy. Still working on his album Syko released One Night Stand produced by City Starz Ent (Bow Wow/Solja Boy) which was heavily received in the nightclub scene across Australia. Since then releasing his first official single titled “Never The Same” featuring U.S heavyweight Maskerade.

 The video premiered on YouTube quickly climbing to the top 5 most watched video of the premiere week competing against the King Of Pop Michael Jacksons new single. With his album still in the works of production from the likes of Idlabs (Wiz Khalifa/Mac Miller) T3K productions & Scarecrow Beats & guest features from Maskerade, Imelda Monique, J Lye, Jay Daniels & Others, Syko is already promising to deliver on his first solo effort in the music industry.
