Every song makes you want to get up and dance! That’s The Cadillacs, Melbourne’s quintessential ’50s rock and roll band: piano, saxophone, drums, electric guitar, electric bass and the electrifying Paul James—frontman, lead singer and “head clown.”

James founded The Cadillacs in 1988, but most Cadillacs have sung and played ’50s rock and roll since—well, the ’50s. The Cadillacs’ rendition of Little Richard is second only to Little Richard himself. The Cadillacs channel Chuck Berry. They recreate Ray Charles. And you can count on a bit of Holly, a bit of Haley, and a whole lot of shakin’ goin’ on.

The Cadillacs have played everywhere from Sydney to the top of Mt. Buffalo—including the Hyatt, World Trade Centre, Hawthorn Football Club, Melbourne Aquarium, Trinity College and Melbourne Zoo. The Cadillacs are self-contained, with their own sound system, and ready to travel anywhere.
