EXILE - A TRIBUTE TO THE ROLLING STONES

The time is perfect for Australia to re-experience the "Stones" and their classic rock sound with songs like Brown Sugar, Jumpin' Jack Flash, Satisfaction, Honky Tonk Woman, Can’t Always Get What You Want, Street Fighting Man … the list go on and on … via Melbourne based band “EXILE - A Tribute to the Rolling Stones”. The Rolling Stones have produced some of the most iconic and legendary music of our time. They have recorded over 42 Gold albums, 28 Platinum albums, countless hit singles, performed thousands of shows and the Stone's are unparalleled in terms of success and fame. 

What to expect from an EXILE show? Experiencing an EXILE performance is like seeing the Stones on stage so faithfully do they replicate the sound and the high energy hits. Rather than adopting a ‘juke box’ or ‘best of’ approach, the band made a deliberate decision to create a show that captured the raw live energy and inter-activeness of the Rolling Stones in the late 60’s/early 70’s and featured a broad range of songs from that period. All band members are professional players with years of experience in the music industry enabling them to deliver a dynamic and high energy live performance of memorable Stones material that is sure to impress both new and old Stones fans alike. 

Exile use only top line stage equipment and our typical show-length for a corporate event or private party is either two 45 minute sets or one 60 minute set designed to fit the format of your event. Alternate show lengths, song lists and individual tailoring are also available by request. Exile has combined years of experience to form a Rolling Stones Tribute band that would please even the most ardent of Rolling Stones fans. 

Band History 

Mid 2010, guitarist Chris Basaranowicz founded a Rolling Stones ‘tribute’ band with fellow guitarist Wayne Smith who both had extensive tribute band experience under their belts. The core of the group was completed a short while later with the addition of bass guitarist Richard Rogala and dynamic vocalist Austin Green; evolving ‘EXILE’ into one of Australia’s premier tribute rock bands. 

Chris has been a long standing ‘Stones fan’ and has great admiration for Keith Richard’s unique guitar style.  With this passion for the Stones as his backdrop, Chris set about the task of auditioning and assembling the musicians required, making this project the success it is today.  

The band spent the spring of 2010 rehearsing material and assembling a show that would please even the most ardent of Rolling Stones fans.  Rather than adopting a ‘juke box’ or ‘best of’ approach, the band made a deliberate decision to create a show that captured the raw live energy of the Rolling Stones in the late 60’s/early 70’s and featured a broad range of songs from that period.  

By the start of 2011, ‘EXILE’ had developed into a class act and had achieved their master plan of creating an exciting and fitting tribute to the ‘Greatest Rock and Roll Band in The World’…
