O.T.T. Chicago Swing was formed in January 1993 and started working in the City of Perth to entertain the regular visitors and tourists with their special brand of feet tapping happy music. After six years, they still go into town to perform from about 11.00 'till about 1.00 o'clock in the Haystreet or the Murraystreet Mall (weather permitting). Besides the happy jazz, they also started to play more European songs from countries like Germany, France, Italy, Holland, Turkey, Greece, Israel and Latin America.
The band plays over 350 tunes without music, but every musician reads music therefore they can play any tune you might like to hear for those special occasions like your wedding or any other function that requires tunes that are not in their repertoire.
The first album "Running Wild" was recorded in December 1993 and it became the fastest selling jazz recording in W.A. It was sold out in three months and their second album "Two Up" (July 1994) was also a sell out. A third album "I'll see you in my dreams" came out in July 1995 and is available on Cassette and C.D. On the 28th of July and the 14th of September 1995 the band appeared on television in the channel 7 TV show "Jenny Seaton Live". On the 15th of February 1999 the band was part of a S.A.S fundraising concert at the Perth Entertainment Centre with John Farnham and other high profile performers. On the 21th of April O.T.T. Chicago Swing was invited to be the support band for the "Dutch Swing College Band" at the Octagon Theatre W.A. University, Nedlands.

One of the most important things the band has become aware of is the fact that on your wedding day you hope that all your family members young and old will be with you to celebrate this important day in your life and the band has to provide a kind of music that will be enjoyed by every person at your wedding.
Another very important aspect is the fact that a lot of family members haven't seen each other for a long time and like to catch up on the latest news without having to shout to each other because of the loud music. O.T.T. Chicago Swing a band with the experience to make your wedding day a relaxed and happy occasion for you and all your guests and provide the kind of music that you and your guest would like to hear.
When you book the band you will be provided with a list of tunes that you and your guests can request the band to play, well over 300 tunes and if you wish to hear a tune that is not on the list tell the Band Manager Martha Klarenbeek the name of the tune and the artist that performs it and on the day the band will play your special request.
