Buzz - A fantasy garden installation and circus show

The sensational hanging flowers and vines cover 100 cubic metres of air space filling the sky with colour, like an exotic tropical hothouse.

Magical and original BUZZ attracts audiences to linger in the garden and spend time in this dream like space. During the daytime the forest is inhabited by roving stilt character like Flowers, Mantis and Frog who interract gently with the public and bring the tropical garden to life.

The 20 minute long evening show is told with 2 aerial tissue artists and one stilt dancer. They play out ‘a day-in-the-life-of a Bumble-Bee’, as the Bug and the Flower live between the flower stalks of a giant sized garden. Set to an original ‘ambient techno’ soundtrack BUZZ is a physical dance show, using no spoken words. It can be fully understood and enjoyed by all cultures. Breathtaking in its scale BUZZ is an exciting, original circus show that appeals to all ages.

Quality performing artists who have performed in over 15 different countries and employ more than 40 performers worldwide. With home base in Wellington, New Zealand and branches in both Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Melbourne (Australia) we perform unique, feminine and colourful acts at more than 150 events every year. With a wide range of stilt roving acts (up to 12 to choose from) we also create indoor aerial shows (Buzz), outdoor large scale shows (the Butterfly Dance) and designs for stadium opening ceremonies. We can also custom-designs shows to suit individual events.

TARGET VENUES Shopping malls, public atriums and foyer spaces with a high density of foot traffic. TARGET AUDIENCE Family audiences. AERIAL SHOW DURATION 20 minutes. FLOOR AREA NEEDED 8m x 8m - cordoned off from public. HEIGHT & RIGGING 12 - 15m height needed with 2 load bearing points certified to 1 tonne. INSTALLATION BUILD UP TIME The flowers take 3 - 6 days to fully install and 2 - 3 days to pack out. TECHNICAL CREW 2 - 3 (from NZ) + 2 local certified rigging professionals.
