SYDNEY BODY ART RIDE

The Sydney Body Art Ride is a community driven artistic project which raises funds for children's cancer research while promoting healthy sustainable living. The ride takes place annually on the second weekend in February

Randwick, Sydney, NSW, Australia

Cyclists of all shapes, sizes and age gather on the Physics Lawn at UNSW from 9.30am to be painted as part of a huge Community art project called "The Human Rainbow" you can be whatever colour you like. At about midday we ride off to Maroubra Beach to rinse off the (biodegradable) paint in the surf. Prizes are awarded for best decorated bike, best poem, oldest rider, most piercings etc etc. SBAR is a highlight of the Sydney Mardi Gras Arts Festival. All riders must wear helmet, shoes and at least a pair of briefs or a G-string. You are free to wear more than that if you want to.
