GULIA JILLARD, THE PMS (PM’S STAND-IN)

GULIA JILLARD, THE PMS (PM’S STAND-IN)

If the PM Julia Gillard is busy and can't attend your event, why not have Gulia Jillard her 'stand-in' (or is that stand-up?) speak. It will be a laugh. Just don't tell Julia!

Port Melbourne, Melbourne, VIC, Australia

As our new Prime Minister Julia Gillard becomes bogged down in parliamentary proceedings, policy development, media appearances and campaigning, thank goodness there's someone who can have a go at some of her duties. Well, not an official replacement but someone with a lighter view of things. It's Gulia Jillard - the PMS, Prime Minister's Stand-in (or is that Stand-up?)

When Julia Gillard was Deputy Prime Minister, it was Gulia Jillard who was appearing about town as 'The Deputy's Deputy'. Lynne Cazaly takes on the role of Gulia Jillard - complete with Australian drawl, hand gestures and conservative business attire. "I'm not planning to take the err, you know what, out of Julia, but to perhaps say what she can't say and give people access to a caricature of her in a business or conference environment," explains Lynne. Lynne Cazaly is a facilitator, trainer and speaker and has already been known to don a wig and an accent in the name of entertainment for conference delegates. As well as entertaining character presentations,

Lynne does have a serious side, designing and facilitating training and professional development sessions. The funny side of things though has seen Lynne appear as an American sports psychologist, sustainability expert, Bush administration leadership expert and a fashion and style guru. Clients have included Australian corporate businesses as well as conference organisers and not for profit groups. So in the same way, Lynne has already seen how her Gulia Jillard character is hitting the right note with Australians.

"To have a women in the role of PM is a great achievement so spreading the women in leadership message, as well as pick a few holes in the funny side of Australian politics and convey each event's key messages is the goal of Gulia Jillard," she said.

"With all of my presentations, key messages for the client are important. If a company needs to get across a leadership message, a business or strategy message or an environmental message, then I'd love to incorporate that into the presentation."

For the real Lynne Cazaly, one of the questions she is most asked is: are you related to AFL footballer of the last century Roy 'Up There' Cazaly? ;"Yes I sure am," says Lynne, "he was my great grand-dad's brother, or great great uncle." So perhaps it's ' Up There Gulia Jillard now?'
