NIKKI THE CLOWN

Nikki is by now a well-known household name amongst many families along the coast from Port Douglas to Mission Beach & all over the Tablelands, where she has entertained for several years at schools, functions and Christmas Parties, special children’s days, and most of all at birthday parties.

 

Nikki began her clowning & puppetry whilst living in Dubai where she made quite a name for herself with both locals and ex-patriates. She trained to work with young children & put that training together with her musical/performing skills and her natural rapport with young children, and became Nikki the Clown. Her hand puppet shows consist of several characters who interact to tell their audience a story but also to encourage children to respond to them. She is also now considered one of Cairns’ most established Face Painters.

 

Nikki’s performances can include a puppets show, face-painting, inter-active music live with guitar & microphone & maybe percussion instruments for the children to play, fun games, the occasional trick & balloon shaping.

 The combination and choice is yours. 

 

Nikki is known as a Clown, but also appears as different characters for different themes, e.g. The Fairy Queen, The Pirate , The Witch, The Space girl, The Cowgirl, Easter Bunny, Mrs Claus, The Christmas Clown ….. and possibly more on request. 

 

In 2004 & 2006 Nikki was a finalist in the Cairns Post Entertainment Awards. She is well-known and respected in the Far Northern community for her Children’s entertainment and as a Singer Guitarist – part of the Barbary Coasters.
