The Buble Experience. Greg & Katey Aspeling are sought after entertainers. They performed as a support for Guy Sebastian at the 2010 Sanctuary Cove Christmas Community Concert which Greg hosted and MC'd. Great jazz and swing styles.....
Greg & Katey Aspeling are a unique father and daughter duo relatively new to the music business. Having begun their singing careers, nearly by accident, just a few years ago, in 2007, when they were both cast in the Arts Centre Gold Coast's production, Broadway In Concert. Since then they have quickly gained popularity with their vocal dynamics and their smooth, sophisticated interpretation of the jazz and swing classics. Based on the Gold Coast, Greg & Katey regularly perform with an 11 piece Big Band. The two also perform with their smaller band around south east Queensland which includes musical director and arranger, Rick Best on keys, with a number of some of Australia's finest musicians. The latest being a performance at the Surfers Paradise Festivals, A La Carte In The Park
"This Crazy Little Thing Called Love". In early 2011, both performed in "This Crazy Little Thing Called Love" show, produced by Greg, arranged by Rick Best and backed by the Swing Force Big Band, to a sellout audience in the Paradise Showroom at the Arts Centre Gold Coast. They featured, again with the Swing Force Big Band, at the Brisbane Jazz Club
Greg & Katey Aspeling, with an 11 piece Big Band (options of smaller bands or backing tracks available), bring you the great swing and jazz hits form the 20's (yes, from the 20's. The toe tapping, finger snapping "Mack the Knife" was written in 1928) right through to the 60's. Creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the "Swing" era, Greg & Katey take you on a wonderful walk (dance?) down memory lane with vocals to be heard to believed.
Surfers Paradise Festival 2011 - A La Carte In The Park - Coming up in July Greg and Katey are one of the headline acts performing in the Surfers Paradise Festival 2011 at the A La Carte In The Park event. They will also be touring Northern NSW with This Crazy Little Thing Called Love Show.
With Michael Bublé and Dianna Krall changing the way the younger generation has embraced the standards, most of the songs are backed by these fabulous "second generation" arrangements.
Today's modern song stylists - Michael Bublé, Diana Krall, Robbie Williams, Jamie Cullum - have kept the legacy of "jazz/swing" standards alive. And so has Greg & Katey Aspeling. From a bluesy performance of the Robbie Williams arrangement of "One For My Baby" to the upbeat, jazzy "Too Darn Hot" from Ella Fitzgerald, you will be absolutely thrilled with these performances.
