TUNARI

Willy Quiroga, the well-known and colourful Bolivian who has led Tunari since its inception in the mid-80s, still has a personal following envied by his contemporaries. 

In his long and varied career Willy has performed with different line-ups and many of his musicians went on to set-up and perform in other bands.

Tunari's current line-up of four now includes local musicians well versed in the rhythms and materials of the Andes style.  The range of instrumentation covers the traditional instruments such as pan-pipes, flute, bombo and charango as well has guitar, harp and keyboard.  In

addition Tunari's current repertoire includes other South American rhythms such as tango and cumbia, and popular songs from Bolivia.
