Biography
Christopher Morant, was born in Melbourne 1976, and grew up in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne . At the age of 18 he learnt to control his emotions through Chinese Martial arts which gave him the foundations of discipline, determination and desire. “Learning how to hurt people is easy” according to one of Chris’s teachers.  “If you want to be great, you must learn how to heal people. So this is where Chris embarked done the path of Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture, Massage and Pharmacology of which he has an Advanced Diploma in Health Sciences, and had further study in .
Another discipline Chris pursued was the ancient Venetian art of hand made leather masks. Moreover this is where the relationship of the Comedia Dell ‘Arte and Carnival came to influence Chris’s Shows and Characters.
 
In 2001 Chris was contracted in his first Major Production at the Reef Casino Hotel Sofitel in Cairns Queensland, The audiences were mainly Japanese and international visitors. His amazing Fire routines left audiences mesmerized, the Cabaret style ‘Carnivale’ and ‘Tropical Fantasy’ shows were a great success.
 
In 2003 Chris returned back to Melbourne to continue working in cabaret shows at the Dragonfly Theatre Restaurant, performing four acts in ‘Is this Love’ and currently in ‘Island Getaway’. His acts vary from UV Magic and Mime, Whip Cracking, Juggling, Dance, Stilt Characters to World Class Fire Manipulation.
Since 2004 to current day Chris and his associates have performed at countless events and has a passionate belief in the importance of quality entertainment.
 
Since1994 Chris has directed and choreographed many corporate, private and themed events. Of large casts and solo performances, as well continuing his passionate studies of Acting, Acrobatics, Mime, Magic and Juggling.
 
Many future projects are in progress.
