Fire spinning (also known as, "fire dance," "fire twirling,"  "fire performance," or "fire manipulation") is a group of performance arts or disciplines that involve manipulation of objects on fire.

History
We began our interest in fire performing after meeting and inspiring spinner at an outdoor festival in late 2005. From there we hurried to classes on Poi in St Kilda, 2006.
 
It wasn’t long before our interests grew, and we commenced training with the single staff, quickly moving to doubles.
 
Following from beginners, into intermediate and straight into advanced classes our skills developed quickly. Before long we started dabbling at making our own tools and we soon found ourselves with too many new things to practice with!
 
As our love for fire grew, so too did our bag of ‘Magic’, which is now filled with Fire - Poi, Staves, Nunchaku, Orbs, Diablo, Juggling Torches, Snakes, Monkey Fists, Fans & Fingers,  UV – Poi, Staves, Nunchaku, and Juggling Balls. And the desire continues to burn…
 
Over the last year we have extended our training to live performances, which have varied in duration, location and audiences.
