The Crew

Melbourne-based Improvisational Comedy Troupe

The Crew is one of Australia’s longest-running and most successful Improv troupes, creators of the famous Impro Sundae and many other formats and shows.
The Crew are a collection of comics, actors and other talented types who possess very vivid imaginations and the amazing ability to spontaneously create stories filled with drama, action and, of course, comedy out of a single-word suggestion from the audience. Masters of a variety of improvisational styles, The Crew are to able create a great scene in 10 seconds or keep it going for 30 minutes, delighting the audience with layered and hilarious tales, songs or quick fire impro games.
The Crew started performing together at The Comic’s Lounge one Sunday evening during the 2001 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, with no name and no real idea as to what they were going to do. However, they soon realised they had something special and so did their audiences, which steadily grew as word of their show, ‘Impro Sundae’ got around.
Being experts in a variety of improvisational styles, The Crew will be able tailor a show to suit your needs, whether it be an hour long show, team building exercises or a solid 30 minutes of laughter. If you want something guaranteed to put a smile on your company’s collective face, give The Crew a call.

Adam McKenzie

Adam has been performing impro for many years, both with The Improbables, the group he co-founded in 1999 and now with The Crew.
Adam is also an accomplished stand-up comic, having performed hundreds of times both solo and with his brother Richard McKenzie. In 2003 they set up Friday Nite Live at Melbourne's Nylon Bar, a comedy night that enabled many comics, including Adam, to really hone their material and stand-up skills, preparing them for a successful career in comedy.
Adam has performed in numerous Melbourne International Comedy Festival shows as well as a Melbourne and Adelaide Fringe show or two. He has also clocked 'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' a feat two other members of The Crew have also done (feel free to put your guess on the message board. Hint: They're both boys).
Adam Vincent
Adam Vincent started his comedy career in Adelaide back in 1996. After competing in the national final of Triple J's Raw Comedy he decided to move to Melbourne.
With his goal of becoming a more versatile performer in mind Adam started experimenting with his craft.
In 2000 he wrote the play 'Ronny Jr The Illegitimate Son' and performed it in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival with fellow comedian Cam Knight. That same year Adam was national runner up in the semi professional Green Faces comedy competition. This followed a six month stint as the resident emcee of the original King Of The Ring at Melbourne's old Comedy Palace. Playing the Son of Ronald MacDonald was a risky change but not as risky as Adam's next show, Two Comedians:$15, The Chance to throw Tomatoes: Pricele$$. Yes Adam encouraged the audience to throw Tomatoes! Looking for something new Adam joined a loca
