There are four Insects: Mantis, Scarab, Wasp and Red Back Spider. The costumes have inflatable sections, with performers on 3 foot stilts. The Spider can also perform in the Orb, a metal sphere which requires a stage manager to push it. In this mode, the Spider creates live music for the performance.
