Andrew had gained a place at the prestigious Queensland Conservatorium of Music, where he was studying a Bachelor of Music. He didn't enjoy the theory side of his Bachelor and wanted to kick start his singing career so he left his studies and soon after heard about The XFactor auditions and decided he would give it a go ! He ended up in the final twelve and blew the judges away with his performance of Sinatra's "Fly me to the Moon".
Andrew was born in Ireland and he moved to New Zealand with his family at the age of six. Five years ago he moved with his family again to Noosa on Queensland's Sunshine coast.
He started playing Guitar at age seven. He also writes his own music. Andrew lives and breathes music. His Dad exposed him to a different world of music growing up in the likes of Elvis, Sinatra, Dean Martin and Willie Nelson all of which are now his idols. He believes they are great story tellers.
Andrew is ready for the next chapter in his life and is looking forward to making a living from performing. He aims to be a respected musician that brings something new to the industry. He was thrilled to have Kyle Sanderlands as his mentor on the TV show as he respects the way he gets down to the nuts and bolts of everything and doesn't beat around the bush !
Away from music Andrew enjoys surfing and spending time at the beach.
