GLENN SHIELDS

Glenn Shields is one of the most popular vocalists on the Gold Coast and South East Queensland. His repertoire is extremely varied. Changing his singing style for almost any occasion, Glenn sings songs from the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's, right up to the present, from opera to pop and jazz. The audience soon warms up to enjoy themselves as Glenn interacts with some humour and personality to punctuate the songs. Glenn also performs regularly with other entertainers as a duo show. Glenn teams up with guitar genius and vocalist, Geoff Wilkes as "Wilkes & Shields" playing all of your favourites from the 50's right up to the present day. Teaming with vocalist and entertainer Ketrina Lingard, Glenn and Ketrina send up many artists, from Al Jolson to ABBA in a crazy cabaret show. Glenn is originally from Manchester, U.K., and since arriving on the Gold Coast in 2004 has been very busy performing in many stage productions. At the Gold Coast Arts Centre he appeared in “Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat” and “Guys and Dolls.” At the Sanctuary Cove Little Theatre in “Les Miserables,” and most recently at Twin Towns Services Club in “Piccadilly Musical Hall” and “Hallelujah Hollywood.” In 2008, Glenn released his new CD entitled, “Everything” . . . and there’s more to come!
