BIOGRAPHY
Jamie Rae was born in Glasgow, Scotland on November 21st 1967 into one of the most loved Scottish showbusiness families in the country.  His great grandfather was a music hall comedian, his grandfather a singer, his grandmother a singer and dancer and his mother, the late Maureen Hart, can only be described as a legend in Scottish comedy and music.  After all this it was a sure fired case that Jamie would follow in the family tradition.

After leaving school Jamie auditoned for a small role in a Channel 4 movie entitiled "Living Apart Together" being filmed in Glasgow.  After winning the part and appearing in the film he was also asked to record a song for the film's soundtrack.  Jamie was whisked from Glasgow to London and recorded "When You're Young And In Love", the song he had sang in the film.

A major recording contract followed with Stiff/Island records and Jamie's official recording career began.  He was back in the studio with top London producer Peter Collins (Nik Kershaw, Tracy Ullman & The Belle Stars) to record his first single "She's The One".  This record brought a small amount of success and Jamie appeared on some British TV shows.  Stiff Records were not about to stop there.  They sent Jamie back into the studio with producer Alan Tarney (Cliff Richard & Barbra Dickson) which resulted in Jamie's second, very successful single"My Pretty One".  Jamie's face was on the cover of every magazine and he was making personal appearances on all the major British and European television shows.  He was then asked to represent the United Kingdom at The Tokyo Song Festival in Japan. All this came with being back in the studio to record his first album "So This Is Paradise" with producers Christopher Neil (Sheena Easton & Celine Dion) and Chris Porter ( George Michael).

In 1986 Jamie's mother lost her battle with Leukemia and passed away and Jamie decided to have some time off work and moved back to Scotland for a while to be with his family.

He returned to the business a year later with a new record company "BlueBird Records" and a new dance single "Mystery Girl" which had major success around the country's nightclubs.

By now Jamie was concentrating on his live performances and spent most of his time up and down the UK with live shows and personal appearances.  He also made an appearance on the TV show "StarSearch" and won the show.  This led to him being asked by Sony Music to be a part of their "World In Union" CD in 1990 where he got to sing the official rugby world cup song for his country "Flower Of Scotland" and shared the stage with opera diva Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.

Jamie has also had the privileged of performing at The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and also at The Debbie Reynolds Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
