JOHNNY X Biography Australian born songwriter/performer, Johnny X has already left his mark on the New York dance scene. In March of this year, Johnny performed club dates in New York including the famous “Splash” bar and was a featured special guest at the 14th Annual GLBT Expo 2006. The triumphant tour resulted in both American radio and press exposure and landed Johnny a deal with MGM Australia.

Johnny X’s debut album “The Evolution Of Johnny X” released in October has been well received at community radio and has gained overseas interest especially in the States. His music has been popular at digital outlets as well including “I-Tunes” and has been picked up by many Internet dance stations worldwide. Johnny is current preparing to launch his album in Australia and will be embarking on a mini tour of Australia.

ACHEIVEMENTS AND AWARDS IN MUSIC

  • Sold in excess of 2.5 million albums and singles as a songwriter to date.
  • Co-produced, mixed, performed and co-wrote the debut album “The Evolution Of Johnny X” in 2006.
  • Achieved double platinum ARIA accreditation for his contributions for Anthony Callea’s self-titled album in 2005. * Won, “Best Dance” category at the “Music OZ” awards in 2004 for the Johnny X song “Electric Nights”.
  • Achieved a number one chart placing in Japan with his co-write “Only Love” for Asian boy band “Arashi”.
  • Co-wrote for Gina G’s album Fresh! In 1997. The album achieved gold sales in the UK. His co-writes Fresh! And Gimme Some Love were lifted as singles. Fresh! The album, sold in excess of 2 million copies worldwide and both singles were major chart hits. The album also went gold for Gina in Japan.
  • Signed a worldwide publishing deal in 1997 to EMI Music.
  • Has worked with famous producers and songwriters including Stephen Bray (Madonna), Itaal Shur (Grammy Award Winner), Robert Jazayeri (Britney Spears) amongst other notable UK and USA writer/producers.
  • Has had recorded works used in American, Australia and European soap opera’s.
  • Continues to work as a writer and is currently working with several US and European producers and artists.
