Bluesfest is held annually over the Easter long weekend in the NSW north coast beachside town of Byron Bay - Australia’s most easterly point, and one of the country’s most idyllic holiday destinations.
Set on five hectares of grassy fields at Red Devil Park , the festival is much more than just a celebration of music. The event offers market and craft stalls, international food fair, licensed bars, secure parking, carnival rides, kids activities, street theatre, and much, much more.
The 2005 festival was a five day musical extravaganza! Members of the audience danced, grooved and chilled to a feast of remarkable musical artistry, inspired and moved by the likes of REM, Michael Franti, Cat Empire, Bo Diddley, Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, John Lee Hooker Jr. and more.
