Introduction

Jane O'Brien, better known to her radio listeners in Melbourne as "GI Jane" is an exercise scientist with a passion for spreading the good health message. Knowing what it's like to have to fight for her health after being diagnosed with an incurable lung condition a few years ago she is now even more determined to get the good health message out to the community. So prepare to be educated...entertained.... and inspired to take some positive lifestyle action as Jane shares with you her recipe for good health.

Jane O'Brien's Profile:

Jane is a qualified Exercise Scientist and has been working in the Victorian Health and Fitness Industry for the past 20 years. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Physical Education, along with a Diploma in Education. She has also completed further studies in the fields of exercise physiology massage therapy and nutrition. During her career Jane has worked as a fitness adviser, exercise physiologist, lecturer, radio presenter, freelance writer, researcher, fitness editor, corporate health consultant and public speaker. She has also presented a number of sport and fitness segments on national television and developed a number of health and fitness videos/DVD’s that have been distributed nationally and internationally. Jane has consulted to over 50 companies and spent 10 years working as a fitness adviser and coach to elite athletes and the general public. She has also completed 12 months training in television presenting and public speaking. Jane has conducted extensive research in the area of childhood health and currently works as a health and sports presenter at a Melbourne radio station.
