Blake Caracella - Assistant Coach of the Collingwood Football Club
Early in Blake’s career he was described as a lightly built player with great skills and a lot of courage. He was a dynamic midfielder, as well as showing his capacity for kicking goals when he managed 25 goals in 2001 as an opportunist forward.

Blake finished 3rd place in the Best & Fairest in the strong Essendon premiership line-up of season 2000 and proved to be a key player for the Bombers on Grand Final Day. Australian representation was a just reward for fine seasons in 2000 and 2001, and he again proved his skill with an outstanding carnival against the Irish.
After 2001 being a promising year for Blake, he entered 2002 as one of the Bombers brightest hopes. Blake delivered the goods, playing in every game, earning 438 disposals and kicking 22 goals despite mainly playing in midfield or on the wing.

The 2003 season saw Blake move north to the Brisbane Lions. The young veteran proved to be a valuable asset to the Club throughout the Season and saw him play a vital role in the Grand Final win against Collingwood, kicking 2 goals and adding another premiership medal to his name.

The 2005 season saw Blake move back to Melbourne to play with the Collingwood Football Club where his great form continued, playing 21 games and booting 34 goals for the Magpies. However a sickening clash with former team mate Tim Notting in which bruised his spinal cord and fractured several vertebrae spelt the end of his career in the 2006 season. Even though he was to make a full recovery the decision to retire was the safest option. Blake has since been added as an Assistant coach for Collingwood in 2007 and continues to impress with his football 'smarts' in 2009.
Blake is based in Melbourne and is available for appearances and Q&A
