ABOUT BLANK the Musical
- presented in conjunction with Blank Slate
Lend them your BLANK and they’ll sing you a song. In fact, they’ll sing you a whole musical - BLANK the Musical - with all the melody, harmony, fun and feeling of a regular stage musical - sans script and score. They’re singin’ on the edge!
Improvised comedy gets a song and dance routine by eight of Sydney’s hottest improv comedians. Just inspire them with your BLANK at the start, then sit back and enjoy as your BLANK unfolds.
The talented cast combines the spontaneity and hilarity audiences love from improvised comedy shows such as Theatresports®, or TV favourites Thank God You’re Here and Whose Line is it Anyway?, with the all-singing, all-dancing pizzazz of a Broadway musical.
Starring: Amanda Buckley, Tim Judge, Pete Lead, Brydie Lee-Kennedy, Jon Williams, Adam Yardley and special guests with Reuben Ray on keys.
ABOUT PRINCESS CABARET
- Last chance to see this show before it heads to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August! -
Once upon a time, seven young women with backgrounds in comedy, musicals and impro came to know and love those meek and male-dependent icons - the Disney Princesses.
Now, through darkly satirical, fast-paced sketches and polished song and dance numbers they explore old stereotypes and their nostalgia for childhood heroines. Who knows, maybe happy endings don't always require a prince!

Reviews:
“THIS IS A MUST SEE SHOW AND 10 OUT OF 10, I WANT TO GO SEE IT AGAIN RIGHT NOW.”
- Funny Tonne, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, 2008
“Here's a satire dealing with a very girly subject: Disney princesses. It's written and performed by seven girls who call themselves Twisted Melon, and contains high-level coarse language and adult themes. It also includes musical parodies, wicked humour and exploding stereotypes.
Tinkerbell takes us behind the happily-ever-afters of Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, and Jasmine. Dreams and expectations are shattered, and it ends with a satisfying twist.
These girls know what they're doing; they're accomplished singers and performers, and rather than being tied down by the constraints of its cabaret format, use it to great advantage, keeping the show pacey, cheeky and a lot of fun.”
