Professional career spans 60 years. 5 yrs in Sydney as a vocalist at various clubs and hotels. Back to home base Melbourne on trumpet for 10 years, then based at Narooma playing from Brisbane to Melbourne on varied types of gigs predominantly playing mainstream and his originals, 15 of which are on the CD released in July 2000.
Fifties: Sang at North Bondi RSL. Swansea Worker’s club, Charles Hotel Wollongong, Zetland Hotel, etc.
Sixties: Played trumpet in Southern Cross Hotel orchestra lunch-time Fridays. One occasion receiving a handshake and congratulations from American, Howard Hughes.
Played countless gigs for Denis Farrington in Melbourne. Fashion parades, balls, dance etc. Played Trumpet & Mellophone on two occasions with the famous Benny Featherstone at Melbourne Muso’s Club. Played mellophone with best friend Des Edwards on trumpet for the opening night of Frank Traynor’s new Jazz cellar.
Played Hammond Organ & Trumpet with vocals along the coast around Narooma with a residency at the cabaret room of Highway Motel. Developed one-man act and polished up many tunes, some still in his repertoire today.
Formed Doctor Jazz & Sons with Patrick and Richard.. First appearance at 2nd Merimbula jazz festival. Caused sensation with two little kids on Trombone and Clarinet.

1991 Commenced playing 24 trips in all, over 4 years, as a multi-Instrumentalist on the "Banquet Express Train" ex Canberra return trip to Melbourne, via Goulburn, taking 220 guests to "Phantom Of The Opera" musical show..
1992 "Banquet Express at various intervals. Added Sydney bass player, impressionist, comedian, Bruce Hyland. Lots of casual gigs in NSW-Vic. Solo or with my son Mark (ii) on drums.
1993 Babquet Express trips,Toured WA with Mark (ii) Perth Mall (2 spots), 5 others, notable one "Hell Fire Gallery" Esperance. Established by American TV man Art Linkletter.
1994 Completed Banquet Express rail tours in Winter. Back doing solo gigs, writing music and book of my life story. Fine Tunes (a fun read)
2000 Finished 15 track album "Under The Influence" Patrick & Richard helped, with other famous Melbourne musos,
Bruce Gardiner, Alan Mercer, Brian Kemp, Ken Vatcher.
2001 recorded JBBQ2 tape to CD adding famous Mebourne guitar player Bruce Clarke & Allan Smith on droms.
2004 Established CDs on CD Baby, adding combo cd CFT4 <http://cdbaby.com/all/finetunesmusic>
2005 Added CDBS5 PDF version of "Fine Tunes" book. Start residencey at Flanagans Cafe Moruya NSW. Invented a really exciting Suitcase Steinway Grand/.Hammond Organ with bass pedals and stereo sound. All live, no fake sequences or tapes-CDs etc. Everything live.
2007 5 day pre-Xmas gig at "Host" internet promoters Sydney playing carols and Xmas songs around the world on a LIVE Video-cast to large corporations etc.
2008 Book launch at St Kilda Library by Meyer Eidelsen & Film maker Nigel Buesst.
2009 Start writing film version of "Fine Tunes"
2010 Script writer completes first write of film.
2011 Gippsland gigs along with "Flanagan's Cafe" residency. Gig New Year's Eve at "Docklands" before big fireworks display.. Sound engineered by my son Richard.
