Dave successfully combines live acoustic music with lyrics carved from deep within the soul.

Dave McManus is a U.K. born singer/songwriter now living in Sydney Australia. He successfully combines live acoustic music with lyrics carved from deep within the soul.
Dave has the ability to write easily understood lyrics, choruses to sing to, and remember, and seems to posses enough heartache and wonder at life for everyone.

David plays with new [but deeply attached] friend Tony Pyrzakowski, a Violin Player without match in Australia; between them blazing through the burning souls that are David's lyrics.
Tony and Dave are also joined on some tracks by Peter Richard-Herbert, who was pivotal in the music that has now claimed its own style and following.

David McManus also plays with various Northern Beaches Musicians in Sydney and has definitely begun to build a name for his lyrics, music, and the style it is played in. With the explosive, innovative violin of Tony Koski this will be just the beginning of a much needed injection of truth in music.

David McManus was born in Salford, England and has been writing most of his life, wether it was poetry or lyrics.
The soul of the North West of England runs deep within him and is portrayed within these lyrics. The grey skies and the tall buildings with their total indifference is a fascination for David. This is reflected in Cold High Rise.
He is the man we have all seen, 2, 3, 4 O'clock in the morning, tracing the footsteps of peoples minds. When the air is clear, when theres no-one around to get in the way of his search for words to communicate with others.

Common with many great lyricists Dave was foremost a poet. Although he possessed a Guitar he only began to play at the age of 30.
The music began life as a channel for his poetry to reach others.
His writing is brutally honest, even in his obscure lyrics, and has themes that are indeed universal ; no one should go without at least tasting a part of this magic.
