Ranging from a solo performance through to the full 10 piece show band, Elvis alive will create an event you will never forget.
“ Elvis Alive” is a larger than life production, based on the phenomenon of Elvis Presley. This production focuses on the vivacity and genius that was Elvis. A show different to all others, it takes you back as if you were there , waiting for Elvis to appear. Whether it was the raw 50’s , the birth of rock n roll, the 1968 Comeback Special, or the sold out shows in Vegas, this show will make you believe you are there.
The production boasts an on stage cast of fourteen with many more behind the scenes. The band uses a unique technique to replicate the original sound from the seventies drummer Ronnie Tutt, implementing two drummers side by side , creating the original effect. The show hosts a field of quality musicians including four female back-up vocalists.
Sam Kalos , our musical Director and Production Manager, continually persues excellence amongst the group, repeatedly refining the show to detail.
Paul Fenech Is Elvis in “Elvis Alive”.
His Elvis like presence , and characteristics are evident on stage. His natural resemblance sets him apart from most. He has been labeled, “beyond the max” on par with his U.S counterparts and at times making them look ordinary.
If you haven't seen “Elvis Alive”, then you haven't been where we’ve been.
- NEWS FLASH!!!! "THE KING DOES IT AGAIN!". Paul ‘Elvis’ Fenech, has won his second successive Elvis competition. The first was at the Cat and Fiddle Hotel in Balmain back in December last year. This time , it was at Penrith Panthers where Paul shook the house apart with his renditions of Burning Love and Suspicious Minds. Apart from Paul, there was a quality field of Elvis impersonators, including one female Elvis. The finals hosted a total of 17 Elvis impersonators which was soon sorted to six for the second and final round. The crowd was very receptive to all the Elvis’s and Paul believes that it was one of the better crowds he has performed to.
You can catch Paul performing in and around Sydney and is a regular at ‘The King of Rock n Roll Pizzeria’ in Rushcutters bay.
- "PAUL FENECH IS THE KING OF BALMAIN!" . On Saturday December 22, The "Cat & Fiddle" hotel in Balmain hosted the finals of the "Calling All Kings" contest, which was held over the past few weeks in a series of heats to find the best local Elvis impersonator. Quite a few would be "Elvis'"turned up for the events and the finalists were selected from 3 heats which began on 1st December. Paul was an automatic entry to the final as he one his heat on 8th December . The finalists consisted of some well known Elvis impersonators and some not so well known. They came from near and far and most presented themselves in some of the finest costumes this side of Gracelands (Elvis himself would have been proud!). Paul took to the stage in his black leather '68 special' outfit and belted out two raw and classic 50's Elvis numbers:, Blue Suede Shoes and Hound Dog in raw Elvis fashion. For his final performance he took to the stage with his immaculate'73 Aloha concert American eagle jumpsuit and took the wild crowd (close to 1000 people for such a small place!!!) through an energetic rendition of Burning Love and with that he wrapped up the final with the highest score. Special guests in attendance included Paul Fenech (no relation) from the hit comedy show 'Pizza' on SBS who was one of the judges. The two Pauls met for the very first time that evening and discovered that they have more than just their names in common as they both love Elvis.
