Music is a vehicle for positive change and La Cat’s mission with her music is simply that, with love and giving thanks. Her reputation proceeds her in the L.A. Reggae community, attracting musicians that walk a similar path, such as: Ronnie ‘Stepper’ McQueen, Bass player,worked with Steel Pulse, Rock Deadrick, drummer and percussionist for Tracy Chapman, Ben Harper (to name a few), Eric 'Baby Face' Walsh on guitar and back-up vocals, Phil Mosley on keyboard, and a recent ‘cool jam’ with Brother Num, percussionist for Burning Spear.
La Cat is respected for her commitment to the music and these brothers lay down impeccable spiritual music behind her haunting, trance like vocals. They are all working for the cause of the positive flow. La Cat is currently writing material for her new C.D., ‘DIG DEEPER’. Her last two C.D.s, ‘UNCONDITIONAL LOVE’ and ‘WE WILL UNITE’, are grooving and playing in the homes of her devoted fans and streaming on the airwaves in Regina, Canada on CJTR 91.3FM played by, D.J. ‘ The Godfather’. Her sexy music video, ‘WE WILL UNITE’, is globally viewed.
La Cat is known locally at venues such as the Hollywood Park Casino and monthly concerts at the Fisherman’s Village in Marina Del Rey. She played an unforgettable performance at the Long Beach Reggae Festival, opening for Bennie Man. A strong advocate for animals rights, La Cat performed for a fund raiser by the Buddy Hacket's Singita Animal Sanctuary for abandoned cats and dogs in Malibu. She also was concerned for the Tsunami victims and organized “Buddha Meets Jah” tsunami relief concert with proceeds going to the LA-based Sri Lankan Dharma Vijaya Buddhist Temple. Seasoned with touring, in Hong Kong, Singapore and Bangkok, La Cat was not only the lead vocalist and dancer for this tour, but also the band leader, choreographing and directing her shows.
In Her career as a dancer, La Cat has backed up superstars such as George Clinton. La Cat is also a percussionist in the styles of Cuban, Brazilian, African and Jazz. She is educated in music from Los Angeles Music Academy in Vocals and Percussion and has a Bachelors of Arts Degree, dual majoring in, Fine Arts and Dance from CSUN. La Cat is currently discussing business with John Raatz, president of the Visioneering Group, promoter for the successful film, ‘What The Bleep’.
