Five years after they reformed the Boys and the Sixties Explosion show are still in great demand. As The Boys head into their 5th year since reforming they are looking forward to new challenges in 2006. Although 2005 was a quieter year than usual for The Sixties Explosion Show there were still some memorable gigs, Globe derby Park in the beginning of 2005 was pretty special with one of the biggest crowds they've  had (nearly 5,0000 people), then in April/May the band went into rehearsal for the first of their Theatre Shows in June. The first show at Golden Grove was close to a sell out and was a great success, the next one at the Port Noarlunga Theatre was a sell out and the band received a standing ovation at the end of the show. In July it was the Kennelworth Football Clubs annual ball, after that the band took a 12 week break while one of the members went overseas.
October saw the Show back on the road doing the opening of the revamped Stonyfell Function centre ( which had been closed for over 2 years). November saw the band take a low profile doing only one small warm up gig before heading off to Broken Hill for their Xmas Pageant in early December. In the last couple of years the band have done a number of high profile gigs including Australia day celebrations at Pt Pirie, Globe derby Park Summer Trotting Carnival four years in a row and were featured at the 2004 Clipsal 500 as part of the After race Concert. They have also done numerous corporate events for the likes of The Variety Club, Southcorp wines, Boart Longyear, the Y4 club 30 year reunion and shared top billing with International act Al James and his Neil Diamond tribute Show in November 2004. Over the years the Boys have shared the stage with many of the greats of Australian rock & Roll, including Billy Thorpe, Joe Camaleri, the Radiators, Divinyls, Misex, Ian Moss, Swannee and John St Peters.

Since reforming The Boys have headlined a number of Their own sold out shows in Adelaide, including Xmas in July at Mclarens on the Lake Mclarenvale in 2002, Hotel Victor at Victor Harbor February & November 2003, Blackwood RSL Blackwood September 2003 and 2004.
