MRJO (Murray Riverina Jazz Orchestra) is an 18 piece jazz ensemble formed out of a vision to see a modern high energy big band based in Southern NSW and North East Victoria. The big band performs the music of various composers and artists such as the music of Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band, Bob Curnow, Count Basie, Charles Mingus, Buddy Rich, as well as the music of Harry Connick Jr, Robbie Williams, Queen Latifah, Natalie Cole, Bette Midler, the Phil Collins Big Band, Michael Bublé and Australian composer Tim Davies to name a few. The big band is made up of professional musicians from across North East Victoria, NSW Riverina and Melbourne, many of whom have had many years experience performing in professional big bands.  

Some of our repertoire includes but is not limited to; Ain't that a Kick in the Head, Almost Like Being in Love, Avalon, Basie Straight Ahead, Come By Me, Come Fly With Me, Count Bubba, Feelin' Good, Groovin' Hard, Have You Met Miss Jones, I Could Write a book, I'm Gonna Live Till I Die, It's Just Talk, I Won't Dance, Jazz Police, L.O.V.E, Mack the Knife, Miss Otis Regrets, Moanin', Orange Coloured Sky, Shiny Stockings, Too Close for Comfort and Two Hearts to name just a few.

Whilst being new onto the scene, MRJO performed at the 2016 Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and Blues and entertained a crowd of 2000 at Wodonga City's Summer Friday on My Mind series as well.
