OCASO are a Melbourne based instrumental Flamenco Latin trio that perform original material as well as existing repertoire, OCASO has been around for about 5 years, but recently there has been a personnel change.

Guitarist Brandon Lewis has made way for Flamenco guitarist Juan Martinez from Spain. Juan's distinctive Flamenco style has added a new dimension to the sound and the trio has been performing very successfully in this line-up. Alex Vega the percussionist has just returned from a short stay in his home country Chile where he has given numerous workshops representing LP percussion instruments.

OCASO has been performing in many festivals and is playing at functions all year. They have created a very good name for themselves because of their high standard of musicianship as well as their dedication and total professionalism. They have an. extensive repertoire that includes traditional Flamenco as well as Jazz, Brazilian and Cuban music.

Juan Martinez used to he part of the Dickson Martinez flamenco duo whose album 'Falsetas' has been in the ARIA'S. OCASO is:

The band has released three CDs in the past 5 years. Preto e Branco "Palagente" (1995) Preto e Branco "Verde" (1996) and Ocaso "Same mother different father" (1998)
