Jason’s first major success in motor racing came in 1992 when, sharing a Toyota Corolla with his cousin Scott, he won Class C at Bathurst.  In 1996 he came runner-up in the Formula Ford Championship and then runner-up in the Formula Holden Championship in 1997.  In the same year he moved into V8 Supercars with the Holden Young Lions but became a full time V8 Supercar driver in 1998 with the Valvoline Cummins team and finished third in only his second championship round, had his first V8 race win at Calder as well as a sensational 3rd at Bathurst with Jim Richards.  In 1999 he scored his first Championship round win at Winton, then went on to win another round at Winton the following year, the 2000 Bathurst title and a round win this year at Indy. There are numerous other podium placings throughout Jason’s first 5 years in the premier category. Jason has made the switch over to Ford for 2003/4 and beyond and will be driving for the newly expanded Mark Larkham/Orrcon Racing team.
