Testimonial

“Ken came highly recommended from 3 different people when I was put in charge of music at an important family wedding recently, and we were not disappointed. He was perfect, professional and played brilliantly. Everyone was impressed and I wouldn’t hesitate to encourage others to book him for their special occasions."
Faye Muldoon 2008

"Venessa and I have just returned from our Honeymoon and we felt that we should send you a letter of thanks for your outstanding performance you gave at our recent Wedding.
When trying to select a suitable musician for our wedding, we were keen to find someone who could discreetly entertain our guests with a wide repertoire of music.  This was particularly important to us given the wide range of our guests' ages.  From our research on the internet, we felt that you "fitted the bill" but you never really know until you actually meet the person.
Well, once we met you and started to listen to your musical style, our minds were put to rest.  You blended in really well with the crowd and you helped form a great atmosphere for our wedding.  Several people voluntarily commented to us quite positively about your performance.  We really don't know how to describe it but there is such a great ambience created by hearing a great live acoustic guitarist.
Once again, you really helped seal what was a great day for both of us and we would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone who was thinking about booking you for any event."

Kind regards
Mark & Venessa Tiddy 2010

FAQ answered by Ken:
What is an 'instrumental' guitarist?
In short, a guitarist who doesn't sing! I have found over the years that the sound of a live acoustic guitar provides the perfect backdrop
for almost any event. No vocals means you and your guests can still talk and hear each other too!
Can you play outdoors ?
Yes, I play outdoors, using portable amplification.
Where else do you play, so we can see you live?
I currently play every fortnight at the National Wine Centre ('Uncorked') - free entry, 5-8 p.m.
When do you play at my wedding?
I play up to 20-30 minutes before your ceremony starts. I then play your 'processional' (arrival) song, and during the register signing.
I also play 15 minutes of 'post-ceremony' music.
Can you also play at our 'pre-dinner/cocktail' drinks?
Yes - I'm happy to play a different mix of upbeat music for you and your guests.
Do you play requests?
Yes, I can write/arrange your favourite song for solo guitar (for a small cost) to cover my time involved.
